Dr Udall Sees Patients of All Ages, Both Children and Adults
The most common foot conditions for children are ingrown toe nails and flat feet. Dr Udall is patient with children, maybe partly because he has 5 kids of his own! Having to get an injection to fix an ingrown nail can be a traumatic experience for a young person, and you want someone who’s gentle and not in a rush, to put your kid at ease.
Adults need a foot doctor for a variety of different reasons. Maybe you have foot pain or an ankle injury, or a deformity or arthritis. Maybe you or your family member needs help with difficult or painful toenails, peripheral neuropathy, or just need help choosing proper shoes and arch supports. We also do comprehensive foot exams for diabetic patients, checking circulation and assessing risk factors that can lead to complications. Whatever your foot condition may be, Dr Udall will help you work though it thoroughly.
Beautifully renovated clinic, spacious exam rooms, digital xray machine, comfortable lobby, easy parking.
Dr Udall takes a conservative approach to treatments. He will help you solve your problem first with non-surgical options, before talking about any surgery. Some things can even be done right in the office without having to go to the operating room.
Dr Udall understands how impactful a foot problem can be on your daily life, and his goal is to not only help resolve your problem, but also to educate you and empower you to know how you can prevent it from happening again.
He believes that a doctor-patient relationship is important. When you go to a doctor, you want to be heard and you don’t want to feel like your concerns are dismissed. You don’t want to feel like the doctor is in a rush and can’t wait to get out of the room as fast as possible. No problem is too big or too small at Foot Envy. We take seriously every concern that you have and will treat you with respect. And we are never in a rush!
Our goal isn’t to just do stuff to your feet, or just fix whatever foot issue you have. Feet are complicated and really important! So our goal is to spend time understanding what your true problem is and then together work on a solution.
The West Valley’s Dedicated Custom Orthotics Expert
We take thousands of steps every day. That repetitive impact can lead to foot stress and pain, especially if there’s already a known problem with the feet. This stress can also cause ankle, knee, hip or even low back pain. A conversation with a foot doctor about arch supports and good shoes are the first steps to take to solve the problem.
Custom orthotics are arch supports that are prescribed specifically for each person. In our clinic, we use digital scanning technology to create a 3-D model of the foot, and those scans are sent off to be hand-crafted by a professional orthotics lab.
Getting proper custom orthotics is a process, not just a thing you buy at a shoe store. To truly maximize the benefit of orthotics so they work like a tool to help your feet, it requires an understanding of the foot anatomy and the interaction of all the bones, joints, muscles and tendons while walking. This process is called biomechanics. It requires a expert foot doctor who not only understands the biomechanics of the feet, but also spends the time and effort to analyze your feet and determine how to adjust the orthotics specifically to address your foot issues.
- Orthotics promote more efficient and proper foot alignment during motion.
- Orthotics optimize foot function to improve balance and stability, and neutralize excessive forces.
- Orthotics minimize the stress and strain on the bones, joints, tendons and ligaments, and reduce stress on high pressure areas of the foot.
- And they can prevent foot pain, deformity and injuries.
Standing on a mat, or being sold an overpriced piece of plastic to put in your shoes doesn’t make it a custom orthotic.
Sometimes prefabricated, non custom arch supports are sufficient to ease your tired and achy feet. It’s worth your time to have a conversation with a foot expert who specializes in biomechanical foot evaluation to see what type of arch support is right for you.
Dr Craig Udall, DPM is a board certified and fellowship-trained podiatrist, and is the west valley’s dedicated expert in custom foot orthotics and specialist in lower extremity biomechanics.

Avoid an Extra Trip for Xrays
In our modern office we have a digital xray machine, allowing us to take the images at the same time as your appointment, which will save you time and a copay going to an outside imaging facility. No need to go out of your way for duplicate xrays if you’re already coming to our clinic.
